Audio Distribution Service (ADS)
Advanced interoperability solution for military training and analysis
ADS, the audio distribution service, is built on Paradigm architecture. ADS provides a framework for integration, interoperability and virtualization of tactical and other voice networks. ADS enables data capture of up to 100 combat net radios (CNR) concurrently.

ADS server capabilities
ADS Server enables integration of all tactical communications voice systems into a single virtual service distributed to multiple clients over IP bearers.
- Voice recording and playback
- Automatic speech-to-text.
- Integrated File Transfer
- Integrate XMPP- compliant Text Chat.
- Automated communications logging.
- Local nets
ADS servers support the creation of internal nets as staff intercom facilities are needed.
ADS Client components include:
- Net connection management
- Net-specific user preferences.
- Net activity indicators
- Voice playback
- XMPP-compliant text chat client
- File transfer interface
ADS and VCCI databases are interoperable, enabling capture of voice and data traffic. This data facilitates AAR, operational analysis and exploitation.

Royal Canadian Navy: augmented reality sea training
Calian, in partnership with the Royal Canadian Navy, developed a mixed reality training app using Microsoft Hololens 2, integrating real and virtual tech for RAS operation training. Features include spectator view, role-playing, networked multiplayer environment, and TASR for speech recognition-based training. The app syncs with real-world equipment at Windsor Park.
The MR trainer delivered success faster and cheaper than the alternatives, improving the overall training experience.
