Data collection and analysis
- Capture simulation data from a variety of standard tools such as ABACUS, JCATS, JSAF, and all VBS versions. VCCI delivers a consolidated SIM record of all events including entity data.
- CURSIT support via an embedded GIS engine enabling a common operating picture (COP) for all involved systems
- ORBAT support allowing users to work with simulation and C2 entities in the correct force organization
- After action review (AAR) functionality that enables users to leverage military event data captures to extract lessons learned
Precision data and simulation control
- Simulation control and monitoring to interact with simulation to the right level of detail.
- Command and control (C2) simulation services for data fill, including entity locations, status and additional data, uploaded in real-time.
- Data flow control to allow users to customize inbound and outbound data feeds in order to match exercise tempo and expected level of exercise fidelity
- Detailed mapping and routing at the entity level allowing for proper synchronization of SIM and C2 disparate entities

Royal Canadian Navy: AR sea training
Calian, in partnership with the Royal Canadian Navy, developed a mixed reality training app using Microsoft Hololens 2, integrating real and virtual tech for RAS operation training. Features include spectator view, role-playing, networked multiplayer environment, and TASR for speech recognition-based training. The app syncs with real-world equipment at Windsor Park.
The MR trainer delivered success faster and cheaper than the alternatives, improving the overall training experience.
