Accepted worldwide as the key manufacturing standards for the printed board and electronics manufacturing industries, IPC standards are associated with nearly every stage of the electronic product development cycle. • Calian Advanced Technologies does not support the use of minerals that are linked to the human rights abuses in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).

Suppliers are expected to ensure that parts and products supplied to Calian, Advanced Technologies for our deliverable systems and products are DRC “conflict-free” and do not contain metals derived from columbite-tantalite (tantalum), cassiterite (tin), wolframite (tungsten), or gold such that they directly or indirectly finance or benefit armed groups through mining or mineral trading in the DRC or adjoining countries.

Calian Advanced Technologies will work with our suppliers of raw materials that contain these minerals or derivatives to ensure they meet our DRC “conflict-free” policy. Calian, Advanced Technologies requires all parts and product suppliers that use these minerals or derivatives directly or indirectly through their supply chain to have a DRC “conflict-free” mineral policy or otherwise supply only parts and products that are DRC “conflict-free”.

  • Calian Advanced Technologies makes every effort to procure electronic parts from Original Component Manufacturers (OCM) or their Authorized (Franchised) Distributors so the material has a traceable pedigree back to the point of manufacture. If unable to do so (obsolescence or lead time issues), Calian Advanced Technologies will reduce the risk of the unintentional use of a non-functioning or unreliable part by imposing inspection and testing requirements to detect and avoid counterfeit electronic parts and suspect counterfeit electronic parts on our suppliers or by performing functional and/or Environmental Stress Screening test prior to shipping.

Calian Advanced Technologies will ensure the proper disposition, containment and reporting of all suspect, fraudulent, and /or confirmed counterfeit parts. Calian, Advanced Technologies participates in the GIDEP program to identify potential counterfeit risks of parts in our products. Additionally, lot code control is fully maintained throughout our facility for procured parts to further eliminate any exposure to counterfeit electronic components.
