Every summer, Cadets attend summer camps to expand on their training and to meet other Cadets from across Canada. These camps require the support of qualified medical professionals to respond to a wide range of campers’ healthcare needs.

Position Overview

Licensed/Registered Practical Nurses are needed to run routine medical clinics, responding to urgent and ongoing health concerns. In this role you will conduct assessments, dispense medications, liaise with other health providers, and provide health education and teaching, with a focus on ensuring the ongoing well- being of the campers.

Education on communicable diseases, responding to first- aid concerns, and supporting mental health needs will be daily aspects of the role.

These roles are best suited to Registered Nurses looking to do something a little different this summer! You’ll have the opportunity to work with kids at camp, supporting them with homesickness, Poison Ivy exposure and everything in between. We can offer flexible scheduling including full-time, part-time and casual roles, and of course the opportunity to return the following year.

Camp Loon is taking place near Trout Creek, ON and runs the first two weeks of July. On-site room and board available. Great Rate!

Qualifications

• Licensed and in Good Standing with the provincial college

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in conducting patient assessment and direct nursing care of a broad range of diseases for both adult and child population in a primary care or ambulatory care setting.

• Diploma in Practical Nursing

• Valid CPR-C with AED

Additional Requirements

• You will be required to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Police Check

• You will be required to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the Reliability level
