Enabling Operational Readiness

We deliver end‑to‑end exercise and training support, covering design, development, delivery and after‑action enablement. We ensure lessons are captured, retained and applied within a sovereign training framework.  

Our Belgium‑based teams include planners, scripters, exercise managers, role players, network and C54ISRT technicians, and simulation operators, enabling reliable delivery while maintaining national control of knowledge and data.

Defence Services

Our services scale from focused training activities for individuals and sub-units to complex multi-unit exercises, adapting to mission needs while maintaining consistency, quality and long-term capability ownership within Belgium. 

Calian brings strong expertise in LVC-focused, distributed and federated training, with proven interoperability between simulation systems and operational C5ISRT and battle management systems. This enables train-as-you-will-fight environments that support a smooth transition from training to operational employment—without reliance on externally controlled systems.

Supporting NATO and Sovereign States

Calian has proven experience supporting NATO and allied training operations across Europe. We have supported over 75 NATO large-scale exercises in the past 15 years, providing end-to-end training design, scenario development, computer-assisted simulation, mentorship, consultation and role player support. 

Through contracts such as the NATO 360° Collaborative Production Environment, Calian continues to serve as a formal Mission Partner for the NATO Joint Warfare Centre (JWC) in Stavanger, Norway—NATO’s hub for high-readiness, joint and multinational training. 

From command and staff training to being exclusively responsible for the development and delivery of the synthetic environment for all NATO STEADFAST exercises, Calian is at the forefront of helping NATO and allied nations achieve operational readiness.
