OTTAWA, September 27, 2024 – Calian GNSS is excited to announce that it has added two new full band (GPS/QZSS-L1/L2/L5, QZSS-L6, GLONASS-G1/G2/G3, Galileo-E1/E5a/E5b/E6, BeiDou-B1/B2a/B2b/B3, and the L-band correction service frequency) Smart Power GNSS signal splitters to its industry leading line of GNSS accessories.
The new Calian TW164B and TW165B are professional-grade one input to four output smart power splitters. The TW164B model provides gain to compensate for signal splitting loss, and the TW165B model compensates for signal splitting loss and adds 10 dB of gain to each output port.
Calian’s TW164B and TW165B Smart Power GNSS signal splitters provide two key features: first, they accept power from all attached GNSS receivers and if the GNSS receiver powering the splitter fails, then the splitter will automatically switch to another connected receiver that has sufficient power. Second, if the antenna fails and does not draw current, the splitter will provide ports 1-4 with a current draw lower than 1 mA, indicating an antenna fault.
The TW164B and TW165B both offer best-in-class performance in terms of noise figure, isolation and linearity. Additionally, they are packaged in a robust, compact, lightweight and waterproof (IP67) corrosion-protected aluminum housing. The TW164/5B are available with either SMA, TNC or type-N connectors.
