Calian CARES: Check Out Calian’s 2023 ESG Report
We’re thrilled to announce that our 2023 ESG Report is now available, outlining the amazing progress we’ve made in embedding ESG in our business and the powerful impact Calian had in 2023!
The theme of this year’s report is “One Calian”, aligning with our new three-year strategic vision and reflecting our goal of building a purpose-driven organization that leaves a positive impact with everything we do.
Read the report and check out the new ESG pages for major highlights and impact stories as we continue to live our ESG vision, Calian CARES™ (Collaboration to Advance Resilience, Excellence and Sustainability).
One key highlight is our enrollment in The Net Zero Challenge (NZC) and our success in meeting the milestone one requirements by developing our preliminary net-zero roadmap and publishing our first TCFD Report. The NZC is designed for both public and private sectors to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050, and is led by the Government of Canada, to encourage organizations across all industries to take steps towards reducing greenhouse gas emissions and addressing climate related issues.
The Honourable Steven Guilbeault, Minister of Environment and Climate Change commented: “More and more businesses across Canada are aiming to make their facilities and operations net-zero—not just to fight climate change, but also to stimulate innovation, demonstrate corporate responsibility, and ensure their long-term competitiveness. By taking up the Net-Zero Challenge, alongside more than 130 other companies, Calian is spearheading Canada’s clean industrial advantage and the path toward a sustainable future.” Read more.
We are proud of the entire Calian team for everything they have done in supporting our ESG strategy and we look forward to continuing momentum in 2024.
