Live exercise support

Calian UK provides live role players and effects that deliver a highly realistic, dynamic and immersive exercise experience.​ Working under Project NUMIDIAN, a British MOD initiative focused on providing specialized support for training, Calian delivers a wide range of support services to ensure the training audience is exposed to challenging, contemporary threats to enhance operational readiness.

Exercise design, development and delivery (E3D)

We deliver end‑to‑end exercise and training support, covering design, development, delivery and after‑action review. Our UK‑based teams of planners, scripters, exercise managers, and simulation operators ensure the audience is challenged by contemporary, hybrid and pacing threats. We align and integrate with the client’s objectives to create realistic scenarios that ensure seamless and effective training operations. 

Our expert team ranges from former commanders and staff officers to technical experts with knowledge and understanding of operational doctrine, planning processes.

Computer assisted exercise (CAX) support

Calian provides both CAX technical SMEs and CAX operators to support exercises and training across tactical, operational and strategic levels.

Support is focused on command post exercises (CPX), where forces are generated, moved and managed in a distributed synthetic simulation environment.

Maritime training

Calian has over two decades of experience delivering naval and maritime training. Operating from a training facility in Havant, we deliver engineering training with our team of experienced specialists. We adapt the design of our training program to meet customer needs, taking a collaborative approach for maximum learning value.
