Calian developed a VR training solution for fuel delivery that teaches new drivers to safely execute the delivery process—including procedures, manipulating tools and equipment, reading gauges and recording fuel volumes.
Mastering the refueling process to reduce waste and improve safety
The VR trainer recreates the job site and the process of fuel transfers in fine detail. The process includes steps like selecting the right personal protective equipment, calculating how much fuel to deliver, and even manually delivering the fuel. This training introduced new drivers to the fuel transfer process, allowing users to build competence and confidence. The VR trainer reduces fuel spillage and reduces the risk of employees potentially harming themselves and others.
360° marketing training
We also developed a mobile application for Parkland’s retail franchise “On the Run” to improve in-store product marketing. Using iOS or Android, the application guides franchisees on corporate product placement. Using 360-degree images, the application guides franchisees on placement, with quizzes and questions to improve learning retention.
