CEO Kevin Ford Wins EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2019 Award

Ottawa, ON, Friday, October 25, 2019 – Calian Group Ltd. (TSX: CGY) President and CEO Kevin Ford has won the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2019 Ontario award in the Professional Services category.

At the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2019 Awards gala in Toronto on October 24, Kevin was recognized for his transformative leadership at Calian positioning the company toward innovation, growth and global markets.

“This award is a reflection of the Calian team. It’s the company’s dedicated people who are powering our results and record growth,” stated Ford. “I am excited about this company’s future as we continue to focus on organic and acquisitive growth, innovation and access to global markets. Calian is in a pivot – and we’re certainly not done yet.”

Ford, who has been Calian CEO since April 2015, previously won the Ottawa Chamber of Commerce-Ottawa Business Journal 2017 CEO of the Year Award.

Ford is a passionate supporter of charities, military members, their families and veterans. Calian's Military Family Doctor Network has helped match more than 2,300 military family members with family physicians across the country, which helps ease the family’s transition into a new posting. The company is a partner to many charities including the United Way, the Ottawa Hospital Foundation and Pancreatic Cancer Canada.

Previously President of Calian’s Business and Technology Services Division, Ford has worked in professional services for over 30 years. He currently sits on the boards of Saegis and the Ottawa Hospital Foundation, and is Chair of the Board of Directors for the Canadian Association of Defence and Security Industries (CADSI). He has coached hockey for more than two decades, is the proud father of four sons and has been married to his wife Marlene for 33 years.
