Ottawa, Ontario Feb 12, 2013 - Calian Technologies Ltd. (TSX:CTY) is pleased to announce that its Business and Technology Services Division has been awarded a contract for the Air Technical Training Renewal (ATTR) project from the Department of National Defence (DND). Calian will provide Instructional Analysis, Instructional Design and Instructional Content Development services to modernize the existing Air Technician Training courses using electronic training delivery and blended learning solutions. Calian will utilize Atlantis Systems as a sub-contractor for the delivery of this contract leveraging their expertise in instructional design and content development.

The base two-year contract is estimated to be in excess of $4 million, with the overall value increasing to approximately $8 million if the two, one-year options are exercised. This requirement is in addition to the training services that Calian staff are already providing in the Canadian Forces School of Aerospace and Technology and Engineering at CFB Borden.
