Ottawa, ON February 7, 2018 – Calian Group Ltd. (TSX: CGY) is pleased to report it has received another award recognizing the company as a top employer of Canadian veterans.

Calian received the Veteran Friendly Employer award in recognition of its outstanding commitment to implementing innovative veteran transition and support programs. The award was received at the Celebration of Service 2018 event on Parliament Hill, organized by Canada Company and True Patriot Love, with co-hosts the Honourable Erin O'Toole, MP, the Honourable Christine Moore, MP, and the Honourable Leona Alleslev, MP.

Calian was one of four companies recognized at the January 30 event, along with RBC, Starbucks and PwC. The Honourable Harjit Sajjan, Minister of Defence, and the Honourable Seamus O’Regan, Minister of Veterans Affairs and Associate Minister of Defence, also attended to extend their support.

Since 2012, Calian has helped more than 550 retired military personnel transition into civilian roles with the company – over 100 per year on average. Calian has also provided more than 115 military spouses with professional positions since 2016, when Canada Company, a charitable organization supporting the Canadian military, launched the Military Employment Transition Spouse program.

For the past three consecutive years, Calian has received Canada Company’s Military Employment Transition (MET) Top Employer Award, recognizing Calian as one of Canada’s best employers for Canadian veterans and military family spouses.
