Calian Awarded Contract by US Department of Defense for Security Assistance Management Training at the Defense Logistics Agency
Kanata, Ontario, April 03, 2001 - Calian ( TSE.CTY ) is pleased to announce that its US division has been awarded a contract by the US Department of Defense (DoD) to provide Security Assistance and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) management training in support of the International Programs Office of the Defense Logistics Agency.
The Defense Logistics Agency is a logistics combat support agency whose primary role is to provide supplies and services to America's military forces worldwide. That role includes Security Assistance and FMS programs, where those supplies and services are made available to America's allies and defense partners around the globe. As part of the contracted effort, Calian will provide support and presentations at up to 15 management training sessions in the US and overseas. Calian will also assist DLA in the review and update of its training program for managers of international security assistance programs within the Agency.
This effort will complement the FMS management support Calian currently provides to international purchasers of US weapons systems, and to the US DoD, in Washington, DC and Philadelphia, PA.
