City of Toronto: Enhancing Software for Better Scheduling
Calian implemented a world-class enterprise time, attendance and scheduling solution for the City of Toronto’s Parks, Forestry and Recreation and Paramedics Services. The $10 million project required SAP human capital management (HCM) modernization and a cross application time sheet (CATS) implementation over a diverse range of industries with unique service commitments. This included the full replacement of the existing system, including rewriting multiple integration points and a custom-built software enhancement that subsequently won a MISA award for excellence in the use and delivery of the new system.
Over the period of 18 months, through a partnership with elite workplace management consulting firms, Calian’s IT professional services spearheaded the effort to deliver an intuitive, integrated system that met the requirements of various collective agreements and satisfied the needs of a complex, multi-faceted workforce.
