##About the role:

We are looking for a Senior Software Scripting Coordinator to join our team on site in Kingston, Ontario. The successful candidate will use scripts to support simulation software used by the client, and coordinate first line software scripting development work.

Other responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Report on software scripting and development requirements;
  • Liaise with the 3D Models Expert, Terrain Experts and Virtual Simulation Experts for the development of the scripting aspects of their respective software;
  • Coordinate the first line scripting efforts within (second and third line software development will be done through other agencies);
  • Establish code writing/scripting guidelines to be used by Toolset Experts and SETIs;
  • Provide support to customer sites and system integration laboratories.

##The qualifications:

  • A University Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology; or A diploma or equivalent certification in Computer Science or Information Technology from a recognized training or post-secondary institution and five (5) years of experience working in the Information Science/Information Technology field.  
  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the last ten (10) years in software scripting and configuration management.
  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years of combined experience in the last ten (10) years using each of the following software:
  • Recent Windows based operating systems;
  • Red Hat Linux or other Linux operating systems;
  • Java, C++ or other programming/scripting language;
  • Java Script;
  • PHP or PERL;
  • SQL databases; and
  • Git or other version control systems;
  • Hold or be able to obtain a Government of Canada Secret clearance (must be a Citizen of Canada, residing in Canada for at least 5 years consecutively)
  • Must hold a valid passport 

##Type of Assignment:
This is a full-time contract with the possibility of renewal or extension
