Calian augments the training capacity of the Canadian Armed Forces by providing civilian support. As a Bilingual Vehicle Technician Instructor, you will work as part of the Calian team at the RCEME school at CFB Borden, training the next generation of military technicians on automotive and/or heavy-duty equipment (in both languages).
Other responsibilities include (but not limited to):
Supervise students in the workshop, with particular attention to health and safety;
Instruct students on the use of tools and equipment, as well as mechanical processes/procedures;
Develop lesson plans according to the curriculum (making us of provided materials);
Prepare reports on student progress, advising students of their performance in the course;
This position requires a Government of Canada Security Clearance (level Secret), that Calian can assist with. Additional requirements include:
Graduation from a two-year (or more) diploma program focused on automotive service mechanics or heavy-duty mechanics (or related education), OR
Hold a provincial license or red seal in either trade; OR
For military technicians, hold a regular QL5 (DP2) as a Vehicle Technician
Must be fluent in French;
