About the role: We are looking to continue building our team of experienced Registered Nurses who will provide travel nursing services to remote, semi-isolated and isolated communities in northern Manitoba. These communities deliver primary and emergency care services on assignments ranging from two to six weeks in length. You will work in a hospital or community health care setting performing a wide range of duties including but not limited to: well baby, well child, well man and well woman clinics, performing immunizations, managing patients with diabetes and other chronic health concerns and/or managing nursing duties in emergency rooms or in-patient wards. We require Registered Nurses with flexible work schedules to allow them to take on travel assignments throughout the year. You will be working 8 or 12 hour shifts with teams of dedicated health professionals with on call outside of regular working hours for any emergency call backs. Travel arrangements are made at no cost to you from Winnipeg, Thompson and The Pas. You will also be provided with accommodations at the work site along with a daily northern allowance. The qualifications: • Class 5 Driver's license • CPR, HCP level • Licensed with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba • Hold malpractice insurance through College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba or the Canadian Nurses Protective Society • Degree or Diploma in Nursing • ACLS • ITLS or TNCC • PALS or ENPC • Experience working in isolated or remote communities is a strong asset • Nursing Education Module on Controlled Substances in First Nations Facilities • Education Program for Immunization Competencies (EPIC) Type of assignment: Contract, CasualCalian values diversity and is an equal opportunity employer.
