The objective of this project is to produce a history textbook of Canadian foreign policy since 1931 including a series of online appendices. The Research Assistant for this project will be asked to identify and assemble foreign policy, defence policy, development policy, trade policy and immigration policy data and statistics from 1867 to present. Note: some of the material will be made available, other material will have to be found through Statistics Canada, government websites and publications, etc.
The successful candidate will compile the relevant data/statistics and create graphs, charts and lists (in Excel and Word) of the relevant material for the mounting on the text book's website.
- A series of Excel files including raw data and graphs / charts / lists
- A series of lists in Word (e.g., chronology of major events in Canadian foreign policy history)
- Master's degree
