About the role:
Every summer, Cadets attend youth summer camps to expand on their training and to network with Cadets from across Canada. These camps require the support of qualified medical professionals to respond to a wide range of healthcare needs from the campers.
Nurse Practitioners are needed to perform physical examinations and manage common health conditions, treat and manage acute and chronic illness, prescribe medications and counsel patients on preventive health care and facilitating access to health services and referrals. Education on communicable diseases, responding to first aid concerns, and supporting mental health needs will be daily aspects of the role.
These roles are best suited to Nurse Practitioners with flexibility in their schedules to commit to working one to eight weeks every summer in the camps, with the opportunity to return yearly to the role. We can offer you the opportunity to work with a unique paediatric population who are motivated to be in good health and live active lifestyles. The team includes Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Practical Nurses and Registered Nurses.
• License to work as a Nurse Practitioner in Ontario

Schedule is Monday to Saturday 8am-4pm
Nurse Practitioners can work the whole camp or just a few shifts, based on your availability
