About the role:
Midwives are integral members of the primary healthcare team providing essential services across Nunavut. Qualified and experienced Midwives are needed on travel assignments to supplement the current medical team in the territory.
Operating out of two birthing centres in Rankin Inlet and Cambridge Bay, Midwives attend births and provide prenatal, postpartum and newborn care up to 8 weeks of age. Travel may be required within the territory once on assignment to support mothers and mother-to-be in more remote or isolated communities.
Flights and accommodations are provided, along with a non-taxable daily living allowance and stand-by pay outside of regular Monday to Friday clinic hours.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Midwife with a flexible schedule who can travel north for six weeks at a time, 3 or more times per year.
• Licensed as a Midwife in Nunavut with the Department of Health

Type of assignment:
Must be available to do a minimum of 3 6-week locums per year
