About the role:
Calian is pleased to be a part of Canada’s healthcare industry. Through our Health Service Support Contract with the Department of National Defence, Calian’s healthcare professionals work in partnership with military healthcare teams providing primary care to today's Canadian Forces. Our dynamic healthcare teams consist of approximately 500 professionals providing healthcare services coast-to-coast at 30 locations in Canada.
Calian is currently seeking a Dental Hygienist to work at CFB Shilo. This is an exciting role, offering a wonderful work environment and generous hourly pay rate.
The Dental Hygienist functions as a member of the dental health care team in the provision of quality dental treatment, therapeutic care and the provision of limited procedures and services as directed by a licensed Dentist.
Key activities include:
• Perform scaling, root planning, curettage and polishing procedures
• Provide oral hygiene instruction and nutritional counselling
• Conduct periodontal examinations and record clinical findings
• Take,process, and mount dental radiographs
• Graduate of an Accredited Dental Hygiene program
• Registered within the Province of Manitoba
• CPR level C

Contract: Monday - Thursday (30 hours per week) - for 6 months
Calian Group Ltd. has successfully re-won the Health Care Providers Requirements (HCPR) contract for the provision of health support services to the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF). Two additional contracts were also awarded for the provision of health support services to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC). The HCPR contract with the CAF is a renewal of the Health Services Support Contract (HSSC) that Calian has held since 2004.
