About the role:
A Dental Assistant is needed to provide on-site dental services at a local correctional facility two days per week.
As part of a wider interdisciplinary health care team, you will work with a Dentist to provide care to inmates experiencing a wide range of dental concerns. You will be performing chair side assisting duties, ordering supplies and ensuring appointments are properly scheduled. You will also be reasonable for sterilizing the tools and equipment and maintaining a clean clinical environment.
Oral hygiene teaching and education will be a central part of your role.
• Must have passed the NDAEB exam
• Membership with the ODAA would be considered an asset
Type of assignment:
Two year contract
