About the role:
Join a team of Clinical Psychologists nationwide who provide psychological assessments for Correctional Service Canada, helping to ensure that our federal correctional facilities are staffed with fully assessed correctional officers who are ready to perform their duties.
In this role you will be asked to perform an assessment in two parts. The first will include formal testing, using MMPI-2 and 16PF, followed by a structured clinical interview. It is possible that at times the formal testing could be done in groups as large as 200 candidates but could also be just 1 candidate.
You will be responsible for administering the testing, reviewing and interpreting the results of the testing and then conducting the follow up clinical interview and with the input of our Senior Psychologist, ultimately determining whether the candidate meets or does not meet the requirements of Correctional Service Canada. You may also be required to provide feedback on individual assessment results to the candidates and defend psychological evaluations when required.
• Experience conducting assessments
• Ph.D. or Psy. D in Psychology
• Licensed as a Psychologist in Ontario
• French language skills would be considered an asset
• Experiencing conducting assessments for candidate selection would be considered an asset
