About the role:
The Intermediate Technical Clerk provides the following services including but not limited to:
a. Responsible for creating and maintaining the Naval Preventative Maintenance Program within SAP, including updating and scheduling of maintenance plans utilizing maintenance technical documentation and analysis of Equipment Family Tree, Functional Location Structure and Equipment Master Records
b. Maintain and manage all the databases holding DGMEPM technical and publications related data,
c. Perform complete and continuous Technical Publications and Data verifications by performing continual validation, updates and base lining/data alignment with the master data for accuracy and consistency of the data across such databases as: OMEGA-PS, SAP, Canadian Government Cataloguing System (CGCS), Equipment Item Directory (EID), Canadian Forces Supply System (CFSS), CMIS, DSAT and Materiel Alignment Database tool;
d. Analyze, review, format and update naval technical documentation and publications derived from Technical Data Packages (TDP’s) to ensure they are formatted in accordance with standards dictated by naval policy by reviewing, proofreading, amending, indexing and updating (addition, deletion or supersession).
The right candidate for this position will possess the following:
a. Have a relevant College or CEGEP Diploma/Certificate and/or a relevant University degree from a recognized educational institute.
b. Have a minimum of 24 months demonstrated recent* experience working with a naval Preventative Maintenance Program and naval Preventative Maintenance schedules.
c. Have a minimum of 24 months demonstrated recent* experience working with/for the Government of Canada (GoC) reviewing and formatting technical data and assisting in the development of technical publications.
d. Have a minimum of 12 months demonstrated recent* experience working with commercial data base systems MS Access, Oracle and OMEGA PS.
e. Have a minimum of 24 months demonstrated recent* experience working with the enterprise solutions software program SAP within the PM (Plant Maintenance) and MM (Material Management) modules.
Type of assignment:
This is a long term contract position.
