Kanata, Ontario July 4, 2005 - Calian Technologies Ltd. (TSX: CTY) has been awarded a limitation of expenditure renewal contract by the Department of National Defence (DND) for the provision and delivery of Technical Training to supplement DND resources at the Canadian Forces School of Communications and Electronics located on CFB Kingston, Kingston Ontario. Under the terms of the contract, Calian's Business and Technology Services Division will provide training for approximately 1,000 students per year in various disciplines. This contract is for an initial one-year period and is valued at more than $4 million. The contract also contains options for an additional three-one year periods, which if exercised, could see the total value of the contract exceed $15 million.
