Kanata, Ontario, September 28, 2004:Calian Technology Ltd. (TSX: CTY) has been awarded a Contract by the Department of National Defence (DND) for the provision of instructional, engineering and technical services to the Canadian Forces School of Aerospace Technology and Engineering (CFSATE) in Borden, Ontario. The initial two-year contract is valued at more than $6M. The contract also contains three one year options, which if exercised will increase the total value of the contract to over $17M for the five-year contract period.
Under the contract terms, Calian will provide technical and professional personnel to carry out Aircraft Maintenance and Repair Training Services at CFSATE on an as and when requested basis. This includes instructional and other services such as Course Design, Aircraft Maintenance, Information Technology, and Administration Support Services. The Calian team will play an integral part to ensure the continued provision of quality Aircraft Maintenance Training in support of CFSATE.
