CALIAN TECHNOLOGY Ltd. DECLARES QUARTERLY DIVIDEND OF $0.05 PER SHARE

Kanata, Ontario - January 22, 2004: - Calian Technology Ltd. (TSX: CTY) today declared a quarterly dividend of $0.05 per share. The dividend is payable February 19, 2004 to shareholders of record as of February 5, 2004.
