CALIAN TECHNOLOGY Ltd. DECLARES QUARTERLY DIVIDEND OF $0.04 PER SHARE

Kanata, Ontario, January 29, 2003: Calian Technology Ltd. (TSX: CTY) today declared a quarterly dividend of $0.04 per share. The dividend is payable February 20, 2003 to shareholders of record as of February 6, 2003.
