CALIAN ANNOUNCES CHANGES TO EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT TEAM
Kanata, Ontario, April 16, 2001: Calian (TSE.CTY) announced today that Shaun McEwan, President & CEO, has submitted his resignation effective immediately. Larry O'Brien, Chairman of the Board of Directors, will assume the role of President & CEO.
"Shaun has been a significant part of Calian for several years and has helped build Calian into a leading company in the IT and Professional Services market. His decision to resign is a personal one. I respect that and wish him the best in his new endeavour of building a consulting practice focussed on mergers and acquisitions and business plan development. I am confident that Shaun will succeed beyond his wildest imagination," commented Larry O'Brien, Chairman, President & CEO.
"When I was presented with Shaun's resignation, I made the decision to return as President & CEO to ensure that there were no disruptions to the company and to diminish any negative impacts.
