CALIAN AWARDED CONTRACT BY LIPPINCOTT WILLIAMS & WILKINS
TO FURTHER DEVELOP AN SGML ADD-IN FOR MICROSOFT WORD
Kanata, Ontario Wednesday February 14, 2001: Calian ( TSE.CTY ) is pleased to announce that its eServices division has been awarded a contract by Lippincott Williams & Wilkins (www.lww.com) to further develop RefTools, an SGML add-in for Microsoft Word. The contract will employ personnel in the National Capital Region.
"This contract win is a result of our existing relationship with LWW and validates Calian's leading content management solutions for the publishing industry", remarked Jeffrey Campbell, Calian's VP of Sales for eServices.
RefTools reconciles, numbers, codes and validates citations and references in books and journals, based on Standard and APA forms. Lippincott Williams & Wilkins is a global publisher of medical, nursing and health professions information resources with offices in Philadelphia and Baltimore.
"This is the most recent in a stream of contract wins for the newly focused eServices division," said Justin Ferrabee, who was recently appointed to Senior Vice President, eServices for Calian, "Lippincott Williams joins Mr Lube and the Department of National Defence (DND) on the list of recent success stories."
